This week is the fourth National Apprenticeship Week with the theme of “Apprenticeships: Creating Tomorrow. National Apprenticeship Week provides an opportunity to showcase how businesses, labor, educational institutions, trade and industry groups, and public officials across the nation are expanding apprenticeships to develop a skilled, dedicated workforce.
Also recognized by the state of Vermont, Apprenticeship Week here is a dedicated week each year that highlights the importance of Vermont’s Apprenticeship Program, and aims to bring together employers, apprentices, and technical training providers to celebrate the success and encourage more people to choose apprenticeships as a path to a great career. This year, Vermont is also focusing on recent funding awards and coordination efforts that are expanding the development and availability of apprenticeship opportunities across the state.
