The Week Ahead in Committees | Week of April 15

Economic Development.  The House Commerce and Economic Development Committee will discuss S.162, addressing economic development, Tuesday.  The Senate Economic Development, Housing, and General Affairs Committee will discuss H.533, addressing workforce development, through the week.

Energy.  The House Energy and Technology committee will discuss proposals to limit or prohibit fossil fuel infrastructure Tuesday and Thursday.

Labor and Workplace Issues.  The House General, Housing, and Military Affairs Committee will discuss S.23, increasing the minimum wage, through the week.  The House Government Operations Committee will discuss S.54, addressing marijuana regulation, through the week.  H.533, addressing workforce development, through the week.  The Committee will also discuss H.107, imposing mandatory paid family leave, Wednesday and Thursday.

Environmental Regulation.  The House Natural Resources, Fish, and Wildlife Committee will discuss S.96, regarding water quality issues, through the week.

Taxes and Fees.  The House Ways and Means Committee will discuss corporate tax issues Tuesday.  The Senate Agriculture Committee will discuss H.82, addressing taxation of timber harvesting equipment, Tuesday and Wednesday.  The Senate Finance Committee will discuss H.527, the Fee Bill, Tuesday, and H.541, the Miscellaneous Tax Bill, Wednesday.
