Vermont Department of Health and CDC Guidance on Responding to Positive COVID-19 Tests for Employees

The Vermont Department of Health has posted a new two-page guide with links to resources on what employers should do if employees test positive for COVID-19.  Some of the information provided includes:

  • What information employers can begin collecting right away upon learning that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19 (even before hearing from the Department of Health)
  • When employees with COVID-19 and close contacts can return to work
  • Resources and support for employees
  • Cleaning and disinfecting resources

The CDC has also posted information on testing strategies in response to a confirmed COVID-19 case in the workplace, including assessing employee risks, contact tracing, responding to multiple cases, and working toward return to work.  Click here.
