The Commercial Solution Opening is a program for manufacturers to submit proposals to address federal government needs in responding to COVID-19. It can help US companies secure cost-sharing agreements to expand production capacity for critical medical and related supplies. Specific areas of interest include Masks, Pharmaceutical Industrial Base Expansion, Screening & Diagnostics, and Personal Protection Equipment Industrial Base Expansion.
Under the program, $150 million is available for industrial expansion cost-sharing. Proposals will be evaluated on a rolling basis, but must be submitted before August 3.
