The Week Ahead in Committees

Budget Issues.  The House and Senate Appropriations committees will begin work on the remainder of the FY21 state budget after the Legislature passed a budget only for the first quarter back in June.  The House Appropriations Committee will discuss Agency of Commerce and Community Development programs Tuesday, and the Senate committee will discuss them Friday.  The Senate committee will also discuss Department of Labor issues Wednesday.

Labor and Workplace Issues.  The House Human Services Committee will discuss child care Tuesday and Thursday.

Environmental and Regulatory Issues.  The House Natural Resources, Fish, and Wildlife Committee will discuss DEC issues including Clean Water Service Provider Extension, Budget, Three Acre Stormwater Permits, Environmental Contingency Fund, Solid Waste Management Assistance Fund issues Tuesday.  The Senate Finance Committee will discuss H.926, which currently includes provisions addressing Act. 250, Wednesday.
