This Week in Committees

Labor and Workplace Issues.  The House Commerce and Economic Development Committee will discuss S.9, extending worker’s compensation presumptions for COVID-19, Tuesday.  The House General, Housing, and Military Affairs Committee will discuss UI issues Friday.  The Senate Economic Development, Housing, and General Affairs Committee will discuss UI issues, including S.10 extending certain UI changes addressing COVID-19, Thursday (AIV will be providing testimony).

Economic Recovery and Development.  The House Commerce and Economic Development Committee will discuss Administration proposals for economic assistance Wednesday.

Energy.  The Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee will discuss the Act 62 Report, addressing a variety of energy programs including taxes and fees, Friday.

Environmental Regulation.  The House Natural, Fish, and Wildlife Committee will discuss solid waste issues, including extended producer responsibility and other product regulations, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Governor’s executive order reorganizing Act 250 administration and related issues, Wednesday and Thursday.  The Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee will discuss the executive order an Thursday and solid wastes issues Friday.

Product Regulation.  The House Natural, Fish, and Wildlife Committee will discuss solid waste issues, including extended producer responsibility and other product regulations, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Taxes and Fees.  The House Ways and Means Committee will discuss the Tax Structure Committee Draft Report Tuesday, and gas tax issues Wednesday.

Transportation.  The Senate Transportation Committee will discuss rail issues Wednesday.
