As you might know, OSHA today released its long-awaited Emergency Temporary Standard addressing mandatory employee vaccination or testing for companies with 100 or more employees company wide. It will be officially published tomorrow. As a state with delegated OSHA authority, specifically through VOSHA, Vermont will have 30 days to adopt rules determined to be at least as effective as the OSHA ETS.
AIV will be providing additional information and updates in the coming days, and Vermont’s Department of Labor will be scheduling online town hall meetings for employers in the near future. In the meantime, click here for the main OSHA webpage for information about the ETS, including links to:
- Fact sheet, summary, and text of the ETS
- Related FAQ and video webinar
- Policy templates
- Other useful information and resources
In addition, we encourage you to complete the brief survey regarding vaccination and other COVID-related issues for employers that AIV recently published after it was announced that the ETS would be forthcoming. This survey will be updated as further developments warrant, but in the meantime your participation now will help us identify and address employer questions, concerns, and recommendations. You can access the survey by clicking here, or if you have questions or suggestions you would like to send us directly, you can email us at email@example.com.
