Vermont Adopts CDC Guidance for Isolation and Quarantine
The Vermont Department of Health recently adopted updated COVID-19 guidance from the CDC including shorter isolation and quarantine periods.
VDH guidance (click here) also recommends an additional layer of protection beyond the CDC guidance, calling for individuals with COVID-19 to stay home for at least five days. Isolation can end on day five if symptoms and fever have not been present for 24 hours and with two negative antigen tests performed at least 24 hours apart, beginning no sooner than day four of the isolation period.
Businesses are strongly encouraged to read the full guidance clicking here.
COVID-19 Decision Tree
To help employers navigate this new guidance the COVID-19 decision tree (click here) has been updated to reflect this new guidance and support the mitigation of COVID-19 transmission from close contacts and positive cases in the workplace.
Find the full ACCD business guidance as it relates to these changes at the COVID-19 Recovery Resource Center (click here).
Materials from December 20 Webinar on COVID and the Workplace
As you might know, ACCD hosted a webinar on December 20 to go over recommendations to reduce COVID-19 disruption in the workplace. Officials from the Agency of Human Services, Department of Health, Department of Labor, and Agency of the Administration also presented and then answer questions from businesses. A link to the recording of that webinar is available clicking here and the archived webinar slides are available clicking here.
