This Week in Committees | Week of January 15

Energy.  The House Natural Resources and Energy Committee will discuss legislation to expand and accelerate renewable energy mandates through the week.

Labor and Workplace Regulation.  The House General and Housing Committee will discuss several bills impacting labor laws, including H.636, prohibiting discrimination based on certain hair types and styles, Thursday, and H.751, expanding equal pay protections, Friday.

Product Regulation.  The Senate Natural Resources and Energy Committee will get an introduction to S.254, expanding the costs and obligations for manufacturers under the state’s battery EPR program’s scope of batteries and battery using products covered.

Taxes and Fees.  The House Ways and Means Committee will review corporate tax issues Friday.
